What Assembled in the USA Means To Us

If you have supported Solo Satoshi, bought from us, shared our posts, or even just followed along, you have helped build something that is bigger than a product page. You have helped build a small but real movement around open-source Bitcoin mining, personal ownership, and doing things the right way.

And because we respect the people who show up for us, we want to be clear about something that has come up more and more.

We have seen some misinformation online about how our devices are built, what “assembled in the USA” actually means, and whether there is real work behind what we do. Some of it comes from honest curiosity. Some of it comes from misunderstanding. Some of it comes from people who have never stepped into a real electronics production environment.

So rather than get into internet disputes, we would rather explain openly about what we do and why we are proud of it.

Our Assembled in the USA Devices

Right now, these Solo Satoshi devices are assembled in the United States:

And when we say assembled in the USA, we mean it in a way that is specific, and measurable.

What 100% Assembled in the USA Means

There is a misconception out there that assembling miners is just “slapping fans and heatsinks on.”

We understand why people might assume that, because from the outside, you often only see the final device. But that assumption misses where the actual work happens.

The heart of a miner is the PCB. It is not a decoration. It is not an accessory. It is the system.

For these devices, the PCBs are run through SMT lineups here in the United States. Every component is placed onto the board using automated pick-and-place machines. Those components are soldered into place through controlled processes designed to produce consistent, reliable results. And the machines doing that work are operated and supervised by American workers.

That matters to us.

Because behind every board is a real production line, real equipment, and real people who show up every day to do skilled work that requires focus, training, and pride.

After assembly, boards are tested and checked before they ever make it to you. We care about quality, we care about repeatability, and we care about knowing that what leaves our hands is something we can stand behind.

Why We Care So Much About Building Here

We could choose easier paths, take shortcuts, or chase the lowest possible cost.

But the Solo Satoshi team does not take the path of least resistance.

We believe Bitcoin is about sovereignty. It is about taking responsibility back into your own hands. It is about building systems that are harder to censor, harder to control, and harder to break.

To us, building hardware with domestic assembly is part of that same mindset.

It means more accountability. It means tighter quality control. It means being closer to the process, not distant from it.

And it also means something more personal.

When you support Solo Satoshi, you are supporting American workers and families, not just buying a miner.

You are supporting the workers who operate manufacturing equipment here in the United States. They are supporting the people who run SMT lines, manage production, handle quality checks, and keep the whole process moving. Those are real jobs. Skilled jobs. Jobs that feed families and support communities.

That is not something we take lightly.

We are a small company, but we care deeply about where money flows. We care about being part of something that strengthens local economies instead of pulling value out of them.

Every order is not just a transaction to us. It is support. It is trust. And we feel that responsibility.

Assembled in the USA vs Made in the USA

We also want to be transparent about the difference between assembled in the USA and made in the USA, because the truth matters.

Assembled in the USA means the manufacturing work of building the device, including PCB assembly, soldering, and production processes, happens domestically.

Made in the USA usually implies the components themselves are also sourced domestically. In modern electronics, that is extremely difficult, especially when it comes to specialized chips and parts that only a small number of facilities worldwide can produce.

We are not going to pretend the world works differently than it does.

But we are also not going to stop at where things are today.

We are working toward a future we actually want.

We are hopeful, and we are working toward a future where a truly made in the USA Bitcoin miner is possible.

That goal takes time. It takes the right partners. It takes manufacturing capacity and supply chains that do not magically appear overnight.

But our view is simple.

If you want that future, you build toward it. You invest in domestic assembly. You support the people doing the work. You grow local capability step by step instead of outsourcing everything and pretending nothing was lost.

That is exactly what we are doing.

Our Work With OSMU and the Open-Source Mining Community

None of this exists in a vacuum.

Open-source Bitcoin mining would not be where it is today without the people who openly share their work, ideas, and time through OSMU. This community is global by nature, and that is one of its greatest strengths. Developers, engineers, and contributors from all over the world have helped push these projects forward, often without recognition or reward.

We want to be clear about something. This is not about drawing lines or claiming ownership. This space belongs to everyone who builds honestly within it.

At Solo Satoshi, we work closely with OSMU members to help bring open-source Bitcoin mining projects into the hands of real users. We test hardware in real-world conditions, gather feedback from retail customers, and relay that information back to the people actually building and developing these projects. That feedback loop matters more than most realize.

Many open-source projects live and die based on whether they ever hear from the people using them outside of a lab or development environment. Our role is to help make sure those voices are heard, and that projects continue to improve in ways that actually benefit everyday miners.

It is also important to say this plainly. Without OSMU and the open-source community, much of what exists in this space simply would not be here. Even the companies and individuals who now attempt to repackage or profit from this work are standing on foundations they did not build.

We believe in respecting that foundation.

By supporting open-source development, honest collaboration, and continuous improvement, we are helping ensure that Bitcoin mining remains accessible, transparent, and resilient. That is not something we take credit for. It is something we are grateful to be part of.

Open source is not just a license. It is a responsibility.

A Final Word To Our Supporters

Solo Satoshi exists because people like you care about open-source projects, transparent hardware, and the freedom to participate in Bitcoin on your own terms. We do not take that for granted. So if you have ever wondered what “assembled in the USA” means when we say it, we hope this gives you a clear answer.

If you are new to open-source Bitcoin mining, or if you are looking at your very first device, we know how overwhelming the space can feel. There is a lot of noise, a lot of conflicting advice, and not every option is explained clearly.

Your first mining device should not feel like a gamble. You deserve to understand what you are buying, how it was built, and what to look out for before spending your money.

Our goal has always been to support education, transparency, and long-term participation in Bitcoin. Helping people start on solid ground is part of that responsibility.

If you ever have questions, we are here to help.
