Solo Satoshi has officially acquired its first storefront and warehouse, located 40 miles north of Houston, in Conroe, Texas. When the doors open to the public in late Q3 2026, it will become the first physical Bitcoin hardware store in the state of Texas. The 3,000 square foot space is being built out now, and local pickup is already available for online orders during business hours.
This is the next chapter of a journey that started in May 2024 inside a Conroe home. After shipping more than 40,000 devices to 70 countries in under two years, the team is putting down roots in Montgomery County and giving Texas Bitcoiners a place to walk in, see the hardware in person, and walk out with a working setup the same day.
From a House, to a Garage, to a 3,000 Square Foot Warehouse
Solo Satoshi did not start with a warehouse. It started in a house. As demand grew, the operation spilled into the garage, then took over the garage entirely, and eventually consumed nearly every square foot of usable space in the home. Order packing happened next to family life. Test benches lived where furniture used to be.
The Conroe move solves that problem. The new space gives the team a dedicated 3,000 square foot facility for inventory, fulfillment, testing, and customer-facing retail, all under one roof.
“I’m excited to have my house back,” said Kelsie, who oversees daily operations and order fulfillment. “I forgot I had so much floor.”
Why Conroe, Texas?
Conroe sits about 40 miles north of downtown Houston along Interstate 45, anchoring one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. The location keeps Solo Satoshi rooted in the Houston metro, where the company was founded, while giving the operation the warehouse footprint it needed to scale.
Texas is also the global capital of Bitcoin mining. According to the Texas Blockchain Council, the state hosts at least 27 large-scale Bitcoin mining facilities, including the two largest in the world. Texas accounts for roughly 40% of all crypto investment in the United States, and crypto-related operations contributed an estimated $4 billion to the state economy and 12,000 jobs last year. Despite that scale, no physical retail store dedicated to Bitcoin home mining hardware has existed anywhere in the state, until now.
“Texas leads the country in Bitcoin mining infrastructure, but there has never been a place where a regular person could walk in and buy a home miner off the shelf,” said Matt Howard, CEO and founder of Solo Satoshi. “We are fixing that. Conroe gives us the warehouse capacity to keep same-day shipping running for our 70 international markets while opening our doors to every Texan who wants to plug in and start hashing.”
How Does Local Pickup Work Right Now?
Local pickup is live today, before the public retail launch. The workflow is simple and designed to save customers shipping costs while the storefront build-out finishes.
- Place an order online at solosatoshi.com.
- Select “Local Pickup” at checkout. Shipping fees are removed automatically.
- Pick up at 1030 Outpost Dr Suite A4, Conroe, TX 77304, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central.
Customers should bring a photo ID and the order confirmation email or order number. Pickup is currently for pre-paid online orders only. Walk-in retail begins when the store opens to the public in late Q3 2026.
“We wanted to give our local customers a way to benefit from the new location immediately,” said Hunter Canterbury, Co-CEO. “Why pay shipping on a home miner when you can drive 30 minutes and grab it the same day?”
More Than a Store: A Bitcoin Destination
The vision for the Conroe location goes beyond a typical retail floor. The team sees the space as a hybrid of retail, and an interactive showroom. The aesthetic direction is clean, sleek, and modern, with an emphasis on hands-on education over traditional merchandising.
The core idea is simple: customers should not have to guess what a piece of hardware is actually like. Specs on a website do not tell you how loud a miner is in a quiet room, how much heat it pushes out, or how it feels in your hand. A 1 TH/s Bitcoin miner sits comfortably on a desk next to a coffee mug. A 90 TH/s Bitcoin miner is a different conversation entirely. A hardware wallet fits in a pocket. A home server is closer to a small router than a desktop tower. Seeing that range in person changes how customers buy.
“If you want to see how big, hot, or loud a miner is, we want you to walk up, turn it on, and see what you think,” said Matt Howard. “This is the beginning of something much bigger. We are not just opening a storefront. We are opening a door for people to engage with Bitcoin in a completely new or rare way. I want this to be a destination spot, rather than just another store.”
What Will Be Available on Opening Day?
The public opening is targeted for late Q3 2026, with August or September as the working window. Between now and then, the team is finishing buildout, designs, installing demo benches, configuring inventory systems, and rolling out signage.
Opening day will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Texas-style barbecue catered by Hunter’s parents, longtime Texas pit masters. The Solo Satoshi team is keeping the launch true to its roots: family, Texas, and Bitcoin under one roof.
Opening day plans currently include:
- A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the doors to the public.
- Texas-style barbecue from Hunter’s family, served onsite to customers and the community.
- Live demo benches running active home miners so customers can see, hear, and feel hardware hashing in real time.
- A self-custody station with hardware wallet demos and onboarding help.
- A node-and-home-server display featuring sovereign home server setups.
- Walk-in customer support for firmware questions, overclocking, and troubleshooting.
- Same-day pickup of any in-stock product.
What’s Next?
The Conroe location is one piece of a broader expansion that includes a growing product catalog, deeper distributor relationships, and continued investment in the open-source community. The storefront is not the destination, it is the starting point for what comes next.

Texas has been the home of Bitcoin mining for years. Now it has its first place to walk in and buy the hardware.
