Solo or Pool Mining

Solo mining keeps block rewards separate from reward-sharing pools. A compatible solo service or your own node provides work to the miner. If your miner finds a valid block, the current subsidy is 3.125 BTC plus transaction fees, subject to the service’s fees and payout terms. Reward-sharing pools distribute smaller payments under their own rules, fees and payout thresholds. Neither method guarantees a profit. Use the Bitcoin mining calculator for current estimates.

Setup, Power and Support

At an illustrative electricity rate of $0.16/kWh, an 18W miner costs approximately $0.069 per day or $2.07 per 30-day month. At its stated 69.5W stock power, a NerdQaxe++ Revision 7 costs approximately $0.267 per day or $8.01 per 30-day month. Actual wall consumption and costs depend on settings, power-supply losses and uptime. Use the Bitcoin mining calculator with your measured consumption and local rate.
