Compatible 5V Bitcoin Miners
| Miner | Compatibility guidance |
|---|---|
| Bitaxe Gamma 602 | Compatible at stock and moderate settings within the 24W planning target. Use the 40W supply for additional overclocking headroom. |
| Bitaxe Supra | Compatible with 5V center-positive barrel-input revisions whose sustained draw remains within the limit. |
| Bitaxe Ultra and Bitaxe Max | Compatible with matching 5V center-positive barrel-input revisions within the power limit. |
| Nerdaxe Gamma | Compatible only when the exact 5V barrel-input configuration and sustained draw fit the limits. The 40W supply provides more margin. |
| Bitaxe Gamma Duo 650 | Use the included or replacement 40W 5V 8A supply instead. The Duo can exceed this adapter conservative continuous target. |
Not compatible with 12V XT30 miners: do not use this adapter with the Bitaxe GT, Naja Duo, NerdQaxe++, Turbo Touch, or Gamma Hex.
30W Rating and the 80% Guideline
The adapter is rated for 30W maximum. For conservative 24/7 planning, 80% equals 24W or 4.8A. A miner can remain below the 30W nameplate and still leave little margin if heavily overclocked. Measure actual consumption instead of relying only on advertised stock values.
For compatible 5V miners that need more headroom, use the Solo Satoshi 40W 5V 8A power supply.
Safe Setup and Monitoring
- Confirm the miner requires regulated 5V DC and a 5.5 x 2.1mm center-positive barrel plug.
- Inspect the adapter, cord, and barrel connector for damage or looseness.
- Connect the barrel plug with AC power disconnected.
- Start the miner at stock settings and confirm normal fan operation and temperature.
- Monitor wall power, voltage stability, adapter temperature, cable temperature, and barrel-plug temperature during sustained use.
- Stop use if the connector or adapter becomes unusually hot, discolored, loose, or odorous.
