The Bitaxe Supra is purpose-built for Bitcoin (BTC) mining via the SHA-256 algorithm. They do not support alternative algorithms.
By default, the Bitaxe Supra mines Bitcoin (BTC). If you wish to mine other SHA-256-based cryptocurrencies (e.g., Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin SV), you can point your miner to a compatible pool or node. Note that profitability, block reward structure, and network difficulty differ across coins.
Profitability depends on several factors:
1. Electricity cost: At 12.5 W (22 J/TH efficiency) for the Bitaxe Supra, lower electricity rates improve ROI.
2. Bitcoin price: Fluctuates daily; higher BTC prices yield more revenue per block.
3. Network difficulty: Increasing difficulty reduces your share of the block reward.
4. Pool fees (if not solo mining): Subtract any fees charged by mining pools.
With residential electricity rates under $0.16 kWh and a BTC price above $50,000, many users find Bitaxe to be a cost-effective entry into home mining.
–Bitaxe Supra: 12.5 W at default settings (22 J/TH)
–Maximum draw: Up to 30-40 Watts when overclocked or paired with aftermarket cooling
–Standby: <1 W when idle or powered but not mining
1. Solo mining or Lottery mining can yield a full block reward worth 3.125 Bitcoin + transaction fees. Although unlikely, this has happened in both 2024 and 2025, less than 8 months apart.
All Bitaxe devices purchased from Solo Satoshi include a 90-day limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. We provide expert technical support via ticketed email system to assist with setup, troubleshooting, and overall customer service inquiries.

“Open-source” refers to software (or hardware) whose design—source code, schematics, or blueprints—is made freely available for anyone to inspect, modify, and distribute. Consequently, users can:
1. Study how it works by examining the underlying code or designs.
2. Improve it by fixing bugs, adding features, or optimizing performance.
3. Share those improvements back with the community, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Because open-source projects encourage transparency and collective development, they often evolve faster, benefit from peer review, and avoid vendor lock-in—meaning you’re not tied to a single manufacturer for updates or support.
