Bitaxe Gamma Hex Bitcoin Solo Miner (1300 Model)

$449.99

The Bitaxe Gamma Hex is a hydro-cooled, open-source Bitcoin solo miner powered by 6 Bitmain BM1370 ASIC chips, delivering 8.4 TH/s at 140W with near-silent operation. An AIO liquid cooler with a pure copper cold plate and RGB hydro fan provides the thermal headroom to overclock beyond 11 TH/s.

Description

The Bitaxe Gamma Hex is a hydro-cooled, open-source Bitcoin solo miner built with 6 Bitmain BM1370 ASIC chips. It delivers 8.4 TH/s at 140 Watts, an efficiency of roughly 16 J/TH, When overclocked, the Bitaxe Gamma Hex has the potential to exceed 11 TH/s.

Cooling comes from an all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler with a pure copper micro-fin cold plate and an RGB-lit hydro fan. Because liquid carries heat away from the ASICs instead of a high-RPM fan, the Bitaxe Gamma Hex runs near silent at full hashrate. The unit runs esp-miner firmware with the AxeOS web dashboard, the same fully open-source stack trusted across the entire Bitaxe family.

Bitaxe Gamma Hex Technical Specifications

Bitaxe Gamma Hex Performance Specs

*Overclocking Disclaimer: Overclocking is performed at the end user’s own risk and is subject to the silicon lottery. Overclocking may void warranty coverage if damage occurs due to excessive voltage, frequency, or temperatures. Solo Satoshi is not responsible for damage resulting from user-modified settings. Always monitor ASIC and coolant temperatures before adjusting settings beyond factory defaults. The included Mean Well GST280A12-C6P power supply is rated for 252W continuous output, providing ample headroom above the 140W default draw for sustained overclocked operation. All data provided in this table is subject to ±15%.

What Makes the Bitaxe Gamma Hex Different?

The Bitaxe Gamma Hex is the first Bitaxe to combine six ASICs with liquid cooling.

  • Six BM1370 ASICs: The same Bitmain S21 Pro-class silicon scaled to six chips on one board.
  • 300W Pure Copper Micro-Fin Cold Plate: The AIO hydro cooler’s cold plate is rated for 300W of thermal load, more than double the Bitaxe Gamma Hex’s 140W default draw. That headroom is what makes heavy overclocking possible.
  • Near-Silent Operation: Liquid cooling removes the need for high-RPM axial fans. The Bitaxe Gamma Hex is quiet enough for a bedroom, office, or living room at full hashrate.
  • RGB Hydro Fan: The radiator fan features integrated RGB LED lighting effects, matching the cold plate’s LED accents. The RGB lighting is always on while the miner is powered: there is no remote, switch, or software toggle to turn it off.

How to Overclock Your Bitaxe Gamma Hex

  1. Access the AxeOS dashboard from your browser.
  2. Navigate to the “Settings” tab.
  3. Scroll down to “Mining Settings”.
  4. Adjust “Frequency” and “Core Voltage” one tier at a time. Allow ASIC and coolant temperatures to stabilize before increasing further.
  5. Hit Save, then restart.
  6. Monitor temperatures on the dashboard. The 300W cold plate provides substantial thermal headroom, but the power supply is the practical limit.

PSU note: The included Mean Well GST280A12-C6P is rated for 252W of continuous output, meaning the adapter can sustain full load indefinitely under normal operating conditions. That leaves roughly 112W of headroom above the 140W default draw, so overclocking toward 11 TH/s stays within the power supply’s continuous rating.

How to Set Up Your Bitaxe Gamma Hex

Setting up the Bitaxe Gamma Hex takes about 5 minutes:

  1. Step 1: Power On and Connect. Connect the power supply’s MOLEX plug, then plug in AC power. The miner broadcasts a Wi-Fi hotspot. Connect from your phone or computer.
  2. Step 2: Configure Wi-Fi. Enter your home network credentials through the AxeOS web interface.
  3. Step 3: Enter Your Bitcoin Address. Input any on-chain BTC wallet address. A SegWit address starting with bc1q works best.
  4. Step 4: Select Your Pool. Choose solo mining via Public Pool or Solo CKPool, or connect to a payout pool like Ocean Mining or Braiins.
  5. Step 5: Start Mining. Save settings. Your Bitaxe Gamma Hex is now hashing at 8.4 TH/s, near silently.
