Description
This Bitcoin seed phrase dice set includes five matched, serialized 19 mm six-sided precision dice for supported hardware-wallet entropy workflows. Each physical die result supplies randomness that a compatible signing device can process into a 12-word or 24-word BIP39 recovery phrase.
The dice do not create seed words by themselves. Use the exact entry method and result count documented by your device. Keep every result private, verify current firmware, and test recovery before depositing meaningful funds.
What Is Included
- 5 x 19 mm six-sided precision casino dice
- Matched serial number across the five-die set
- Transparent acrylic bodies
- Square razor edges and corners
- Back-filled white pips
- Individual foil wrapping
Casino Dice Set Specifications
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Quantity | 5 dice |
| Die type | d6, six faces numbered 1 through 6 |
| Size | 19 mm per die |
| Material | Transparent acrylic |
| Edges | Square razor edges |
| Pips | Back-filled white pips |
| Serial numbers | Matched serialized set |
| Intended use | Supported Bitcoin seed entropy workflows |
A matched serial number identifies the dice as a set. It is not a tamper-evident security seal and does not independently certify randomness.
How Many Dice Results Are Required?
| Workflow | Recorded d6 results | Five-dice batches |
|---|---|---|
| SeedSigner 12-word seed | 50 | 10 complete throws |
| SeedSigner 24-word seed | 99 | 19 complete throws plus 4 results |
| Coldcard Dice Rolls Only, 12 words | 50 | 10 complete throws |
| Coldcard Dice Rolls Only, 24 words | 99 | 19 complete throws plus 4 results |
Each die is one recorded result. If rolling several dice together, decide how you will read their positions before the roll and record the sequence accurately. Stop at the exact count requested by the device. Do not invent, omit, reorder, or selectively reroll results.
The counts above apply to the named dice-only workflows. Coldcard’s standard combined-entropy workflow has different behavior and a 50-roll minimum. Always follow the current on-device prompts and official documentation.
Device Compatibility and Important Differences
| Device | How the dice are used | Official reference |
|---|---|---|
| SeedSigner | Native entry for 50 d6 results to create 12 words or 99 results to create 24 words. | SeedSigner dice verification |
| Coldcard Mk4, Mk5, and Q | Supports standard combined-entropy dice entry and a separate advanced Dice Rolls Only workflow. Counts and security properties differ by mode. | Coldcard Master Seed documentation |
| Blockstream Jade | Does not use the same 50/99 result entry. Follow Blockstream’s dice lookup process for the first 11 or 23 words, then let Jade calculate a valid final word. | Blockstream dice guide |
| Other signing devices | Use only when the manufacturer documents a physical d6 or user-entropy workflow. Do not assume all devices process dice results the same way. | Check the current manufacturer documentation |
Identical roll sequences can produce different words when devices use different conversion methods. Do not move a roll sequence between tools unless the documentation confirms that their algorithms are compatible.
Secure Dice-to-Seed Workflow
- Update to current verified firmware and read the official instructions for your exact device and mode.
- Work privately, away from cameras, microphones, windows, and other people.
- Use a clean, level rolling surface or dice tray and accept each result as rolled.
- Enter or record every result in the required order until the device confirms completion.
- Keep the roll sequence secret. In a dice-only workflow, it may recreate the wallet.
- Write down the recovery phrase accurately and protect any optional passphrase separately.
- Verify receiving addresses and complete a recovery test before funding the wallet.
- Destroy any temporary roll record once verification is complete and it is no longer required.
Never type real seed words or private dice results into an online website, chat, cloud document, or internet-connected verification tool.
Why Use Precision Casino-Style Dice?
Square edges, consistent dimensions, and filled pips are designed to reduce physical manufacturing imbalance compared with many inexpensive rounded game dice. No physical die is perfectly random, and the words “casino grade” are not a substitute for careful handling or a documented seed-generation method.
Use genuine physical rolls. Human-chosen numbers, repeated patterns, simulated rolls from an unverified app, and shortened roll counts can materially weaken a seed.
