Description
The MEAN WELL LRS-350-12 is a 348W / 29A enclosed AC-to-DC switching power supply for qualified integration into compatible 12V Bitcoin-mining systems. It uses exposed screw terminals and is a component power supply, not a plug-and-play desktop adapter.

Compatible Bitcoin Miners
Voltage is only the first compatibility check. Connector type, polarity, branch-current rating, measured device power, output adjustment, cable length, terminal capacity, and total sustained load must all match.
| Miner family | Connection | Compatibility guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Bitaxe GT 801 | 12V XT30 | Compatible when the branch lead, connector, terminals, and protection are sized for measured current. |
| Bitaxe Turbo Touch | 12V XT30 | Compatible when each branch lead and fuse are sized for measured current. |
| Bitaxe Naja Duo | 12V XT30 | Compatible at stock and tuned settings within the aggregate 278.4W target and branch-lead rating. |
| NerdQaxe++ and compatible 12V NerdQaxe boards | XT30 or legacy barrel by revision | Current XT30 boards can use an appropriately rated XT30 branch; older barrel-input boards require the matching center-positive lead. |
| Bitaxe Gamma Hex | High-current 12V lead | One stock unit is within the 80% target. Its current can exceed the store’s 16 AWG branch-lead recommendation, so use appropriately rated heavier wiring and protection. |
Compatible AC and DC Cords
| Side | Cord or lead | Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| AC input | US 3-prong 14 AWG grounded AC pigtail | Compatible within its 125V, 10A maximum and 8A recommended continuous rating when installed by qualified personnel. Set the PSU selector correctly first. |
| XT30 DC output | 16 AWG XT30 female pigtail | For compatible 12V XT30 miners drawing approximately 2–8A per branch. Use a heavier lead when measured current exceeds 8A. |
| Barrel DC output | 5.5 × 2.1mm 16 AWG center-positive barrel pigtail | For compatible legacy 12V barrel-input miners at up to about 5A recommended continuous current. Verify voltage, polarity, and plug size. |
Cords, terminals, fuses, distribution blocks, and enclosures are sold separately. Never size conductors from the connector shape alone, and never allow the power supply’s available fault current to exceed a branch conductor’s protection.
Continuous-Load Planning
The nameplate rating is not the same as the recommended 24/7 mining target. Under the Solo Satoshi 80% guideline, plan around 278.4W / 23.2A before applying any additional temperature, altitude, or mounting derating required by the official datasheet. Add actual measured miner consumption rather than relying only on advertised stock figures.
- Keep each DC branch within the lead, connector, crimp, terminal, and device rating.
- Fuse or otherwise protect each branch appropriately in multi-miner installations.
- Keep AC and DC wiring separated, supported, and protected from sharp enclosure edges.
- Do not place multiple loose conductors under one screw or use solder-tinned wire where terminal instructions require a crimped ferrule, ring, or fork terminal.
- Stop immediately if a connector, cable, terminal, or enclosure becomes unusually hot, discolored, loose, or odorous.
Official MEAN WELL Documentation
The following manufacturer documents are hosted in the Solo Satoshi media library for electrical limits, derating, mechanical dimensions, terminal assignments, protection behavior, and installation requirements.
Safe Installation Checklist
- Confirm the miner requires 12V DC and identify its connector, polarity, and maximum current.
- Plan the AC circuit, grounded input cord, enclosure, overcurrent protection, DC distribution, branch fuses, wire gauges, and terminals before wiring.
- With AC disconnected, set the 115/230V selector to match the installation before first power-up.
- Connect line to L, neutral to N, and protective earth to FG. Protective earth is mandatory.
- Connect positive DC branches to V+ and negative returns to V− using correctly sized, properly crimped hardware.
- Check for loose strands, exposed copper, reversed polarity, pinched insulation, unsupported cables, blocked vents, or an incorrect selector setting.
- Before attaching a miner, energize safely and measure output voltage and polarity with a reliable meter.
- Disconnect AC again, attach the miner branches, close the protective enclosure, then energize at conservative settings.
- Monitor voltage at the miner, branch-current draw, terminal temperature, cable temperature, PSU temperature, and stability under sustained load.

The 80% Rule for Home Mining
Plan sustained loads with electrical and thermal margin instead of operating continuously at the nameplate ceiling.
16 AWG XT30 Female Pigtail
Connect a compatible 12V XT30 miner at approximately 2–8A per branch; higher-current miners require heavier branch wiring.
US 3-Prong 14 AWG AC Plug Pigtail
Review its 125V, 10A maximum and 8A recommended continuous rating before use; it is not suitable for every LRS-600-12 load.
