Avalon Q Riser Stand

Description

The Avalon Q Riser Stand is a two-piece set of black 3D-printed feet made specifically for the Canaan Avalon Q. One set supports two useful placements: stand the miner vertically with its exhaust directed upward, or place it horizontally with added clearance below the chassis.

Unlike a single-position stand, these feet let you change orientation without buying another set. Their wider support footprint helps stabilize the Avalon Q’s tall, narrow chassis, while the open truss shape keeps the stand light and leaves ventilation areas unobstructed.

Two Ways to Position the Avalon Q

Vertical With the Exhaust Pointing Up

Seat the miner securely in both feet so the exhaust end points toward the ceiling. This sends the warm exhaust upward instead of directly toward a nearby wall or work surface and can make room-heat distribution more practical during cold weather.

Horizontal With Added Surface Clearance

Place the feet apart on a level surface and lay the Avalon Q across them. The raised chassis creates clearance below the miner and helps separate it from settled dust, minor debris, and surface irregularities.

Stability, Airflow, and Placement

• Use both feet on a firm, flat, level surface.
• Confirm the miner is fully seated and stable before connecting power.
• Keep intake and exhaust openings clear in either orientation.
• Leave open space above an upward-facing exhaust.
• Keep the stand and miner away from liquids, curtains, loose paper, and other obstructions.

The stand changes orientation and clearance; it does not change firmware, fan control, electrical requirements, hashrate, or guaranteed operating temperature. Room temperature, dust, power mode, and unobstructed airflow still determine actual cooling behavior.

Tool-Free Installation

1. Shut down and unplug the Avalon Q before moving it.
2. Place both feet on the intended level surface.
3. Space and orient the feet for vertical or horizontal use.
4. Lower the miner into position without forcing the chassis.
5. Check that all contact points are seated and the miner does not rock or tip.
6. Restore the required airflow clearances before reconnecting power.
