    Description

The Jade Plus HODL Package combines Blockstream Jade Plus in Lunar Silver with JadeLink, a three-plate fireproof stainless-steel recovery backup, physical entropy dice, engraving tools, and serialized tamper-evident storage.

Jade Plus supports camera-based QR workflows and compatible USB storage workflows. JadeLink can carry supported unsigned and signed transaction files and official firmware files, allowing the signer to remain separate from the online coordinator. Blockstream notes that compatible FAT32 storage can also perform many JadeLink functions.

    Package Contents

    Included item Quantity and role
Blockstream Jade Plus 1 x Lunar Silver hardware wallet with camera, color display, battery, USB-C port, and Blockstream retail-box accessories
Blockstream JadeLink 1 x USB-C storage accessory for supported air-gapped transaction signing and firmware updates
Bitcoin Seed Phrase Backup Kit 1 x kit with 3 fireproof stainless-steel plates, engraving tools, locking screws, and setup accessories
    Physical entropy tools 2 x numbered d16 dice and 1 x numbered d8 die
    Tamper-evident storage 4 x serialized seal bags

    Two Air-Gapped Transport Options

    Included item Quantity and role
Animated QR Jade Plus scans wallet information or a PSBT from a compatible coordinator and displays the response as QR frames.
JadeLink Move supported PSBT and firmware files through a USB-C storage device without connecting Jade Plus directly to the online coordinator.
USB or Bluetooth Available for supported connected workflows, but not required when using a compatible air-gapped method.

Air-gapped transport reduces direct connectivity but does not remove the need to inspect addresses, amounts, fees, and change on the Jade Plus display before signing.

    Using the D16/D16/D8 Dice

Blockstream documents an ordered method using two d16 dice and one d8 die. Label the d16 dice D1 and D2 and keep the order consistent; use the d8 as D3. Each ordered throw has 2,048 possible results.

    1. Use 11 throws for the first 11 words of a 12-word phrase, or 23 throws for the first 23 words of a 24-word phrase.
    2. Enter the provisional words into Jade’s documented offline recovery workflow.
    3. Add or select the remaining entropy as instructed and let Jade calculate valid checksum final-word options.
    4. Verify the final phrase and perform a recovery test.

The d8 die is part of every lookup result, not a separate cross-check. The final word must include a valid BIP39 checksum.

    Backup and Storage Plan

    • Engrave and verify all three fireproof stainless-steel copies before destroying temporary notes.
    • Store the copies in separate secure locations and away from Jade Plus.
    • If using SeedQR or a BIP39 passphrase, protect and test those recovery components too.
    • Download firmware only from Blockstream’s official source and verify the provided hash when following the air-gapped update process.
    • Record each tamper-evident bag serial number and inspect the seals periodically.
