Single-Signature Package

Description

Build your Bitcoin single-signature setup around a Start9 Server One and two signing devices you choose. Select Jade Plus, SeedSigner+, or Passport Prime independently for Signing Device 1 and Signing Device 2. Pick the same model twice or mix two different models: all 9 combinations are available as individual product variations.

The node, backup kit, dice, seal bags, microSD cards, and SD card reader stay the same in every combination. Only your two selected signing devices change. Each Jade Plus you choose includes one JadeLink: choose one Jade Plus for one JadeLink, two for two JadeLinks, or no Jade Plus for no JadeLink.

Choosing two devices does not turn this into a multisig package. If configured with the same seed, passphrase, and wallet settings, the devices can provide two ways to access one single-signature wallet. Anyone who obtains that seed can spend the funds, so the physical backups and recovery process remain essential.

How the Single-Signature Workflow Fits Together

1. Choose both signing devices using the two selectors above before adding the package to your cart.
2. Follow the setup instructions for your selected models. The package no longer assumes a fixed Jade Plus and SeedSigner+ pair.
3. Connect compatible wallet software to the Start9-hosted Bitcoin node for independent verification.
4. Document your intended single-signature wallet and recovery process, and keep the physical seed backups private.
5. If using the two devices for the same wallet, verify that the seed, passphrase, and wallet configuration match.
6. Test the intended signing and recovery process before relying on the setup.

What Each Device Does

The two signers in your shipment are the models selected in your variation. Jade Plus, SeedSigner+, and Passport Prime are options, not three devices included in every package.

Choose One Seed-Generation Method

If SeedSigner+ is one of your selected devices, record exactly 50 individual d6 results for a 12-word seed or 99 for a 24-word seed. If rolling ten dice together, read them in a fixed order and stop at the exact target count.

Alternatively, use the ordered D16/D16/D8 method for 11 or 23 provisional words, then add the remaining 7 or 3 entropy bits and calculate the checksum on a compatible offline signer. Do not treat one method as a check of the other; each would create a different seed.

Recovery and Storage Checklist

• Keep every steel copy private and separate from the signing devices.
• If both selected devices are intended to access the same wallet, confirm the wallet fingerprint or receiving address using the matching seed, passphrase, and wallet configuration.
• Never photograph, email, or enter the seed into an internet-connected device.
• Record tamper-evident bag serial numbers and inspect them periodically.
• Test with a small transaction before depositing a meaningful balance.
