Description
The Multi-Signature Upgrade supplies three independent hardware signing workflows for a 2-of-3 Bitcoin multisignature wallet. It is intended for owners who already have a Bitcoin node or a coordinator environment and want to replace a single-key wallet with a quorum that requires any two of three keys.
A full node and coordinator software are not included. Each signer must receive its own independently generated seed. The completed wallet descriptor or policy record must be backed up separately because the three seed phrases alone may not fully describe the wallet.

Recommended 2-of-3 Setup Sequence
- Generate three different seeds, one per signer, using a documented offline method.
- Export each wallet key record to the coordinator and create a 2-of-3 policy.
- Register the completed policy on each compatible device.
- Verify receive addresses independently on more than one signer.
- Export the descriptor or policy record to multiple media and verify the copies.
- Complete a two-device signing test and a recovery drill before moving a meaningful balance.
Seed Generation and Final Words
SeedSigner accepts exactly 50 individual d6 results for a 12-word seed or 99 for a 24-word seed. The D16/D16/D8 method instead uses 11 or 23 ordered throws to select provisional words, followed by fresh final entropy and checksum calculation on a compatible offline signer. Use one complete documented method for each independent seed.
Do not create one seed and copy it to all three devices. That would preserve a single key across three interfaces rather than create a genuine three-key policy.
